Creative Furniture

~I'm a nature lover and am drawn to wood of all types.  Working with wood is very calming to me and I can easily lose myself in a new design. The majority of my designs have come about as a combination of frustration and necessity...typically, I want something for our own home and become very dissatisfied with the choices and quality of products I find already out there.  I often start with a basic sketch or simply and idea in mind and, much like the way I paint, I imagine the end result and work out the details as I build (drives my husband nuts!)~

Function and Beauty Together

I love the simple elegance of clean lines, allowing the natural beauty of the wood to speak. I also work hard to make the most of space...no matter what I do, there never seems to be enough storage for linens, off season clothing, kid's toys, you name it!  I design my pieces with lots of storage in mind so you and your family can have room to grow.

Prices are custom...

just as each design is.

Man's Best Friend

Like alot of you, our dogs are a big part of our lives and family; like every other family member, they need their own space too.  The problem is those horrible crates you find in the store are simply awful!  When our dogs are in their den/crate, they still want to be near us so my solution was to make their dens a comfortable and attractive item we all would be happy to have in our living spaces.

The X-Large cabinet crate has french doors for easy in and out; is sealed inside; has linoleum on the floor and holds an XL dog bed perfectly.  Our Boxer fit in this crate quite comfortably, with room to spare.

Outdoor Living

I am definitely a lover of the outdoors...my husband not so much, unless he's golfing!  With that in mind, I wanted to create a wonderful space on our deck where we could both relax, in the sun or shade!

I remade this antique army trunk into a table; built a table top frame, then designed and created the beautiful mosaic to complete it.

This cabinet was found, discarded in our garage, when we bought our house, but I saw something beautiful there...rebuilt, refinished, repurposed into this wonderful cabinet; I use it indoors and out!

Finally, I designed and built a pavilion for our relaxation station on our deck; I put solar screen on top (building a weather proof top for next winter) and made canvas curtains to block the wind this winter.  It's wonderful all year round.

For The Garden

A few years ago, I started container gardening, which I think I enjoy even more than traditional gardening!

I've built multiple planter boxes for whatever size/space I need; I've coated them with pitch on the inside to protect the wood from moisture; have drain holes and are on bases or legs.

The trellis was a most helpful addition, besides being super clever, last summer with my many tomato plants (a total of 13 grape, cherry, roma plants in these 2 boxes)  I'll be building some on taller legs/bases this spring so I can reach them more easily, as well as making additional trellises for my own use.

The trellis can be made 5-6 feet high and single fold (as seen) or much shorter and with 2 sets of hinged legs (3 parts) to accommodate any need.

Large items, can be made available by plans, including supply list, or can be built for those within an approximate 50 mile radius and delivery arranged.
